Are your clients working in an environment where they are asked to deliver more, but with less resource with which to do it? It can seem an intractable problem to a client who feels ‘stuck’ in their own habitual way of thinking. As the coach, how do you know what to bring to the table to help your client generate new options and ideas? In this fun and active CPD session, Peter Freeth will introduce you to a range of projective coaching and creative problem-solving tools which will bring a new angle, and a new sense of magic, to your work.

If you have ever felt 'stuck' in working with a client, or even stuck in your own frame of mind then ‘The Unsticker’ is a set of powerful questions which will change the way that you think about a problem, from the inside out. In an organisational context, The Unsticker helps your client to approach the ‘more with less’ dilemma from many different, creative angles.

Have you ever struggled to get the whole picture from your coaching clients? Perhaps they have found it difficult to articulate what's really going on inside? Maybe you've thought that sometimes, trying to put abstract concepts into words can be a barrier in itself?

A projective technique is where we use an external canvas onto which the client can project a complex metaphor of what's going on for them, and together, the coach and client can interact with that metaphor to bring a rich, vivid new understanding of what's really happening, and what the client can do about it.

The output of these projective techniques is far from metaphorical, and it turns out that the client expresses their true hopes and fears, their true expectations and conflicts, in ways they hadn't imagined possible. In short, they are often astonished at just how many secrets they give away, to anyone who knows how to read the signs.

In this masterclass, Peter Freeth will be sharing a number of projective techniques, both artistic and physical, that you can use in a wide range of situations, from one to one coaching sessions through to corporate development events, to bring a new angle, and a new sense of magic, to your work.

You will leave with a new set of tools and approaches to try, including a free pocket ‘Unsticker’ and your own personal mandala to take away, as well as a deeper understanding of what it really is that makes a question ‘powerful’ and gives you, as a coach, your greatest potential to effect lasting change in your clients. Plus, you’ll have fun!
